Agnes Bernauer Solitaire Layout
The typical initial layout of Agnes Bernauer. The four areas with an "5" in the upper right part of the layout show where the foundation will be build. The first card dealt determines the low card for the game. In this case a 5 of clubs was dealt first, so all foundation piles must start wtih a 5. Since a 5 is the low card in this deal of Agnes Bernauer, then a 4 is the high card. Gaps in the tableau are filled with a 4 or a sequence that starts with a 4. The seven areas in the lower part of the image are the seven reserve piles. The rest of the layout is the called the tableau. It consists of seven columns, and only the top-most card in each column is face-up.
