Zoomer's Math Games: Double Trouble

Zoomer's Math Games image

The goal of "Double Trouble" is to be the first player to reach 100. Your child can keep rolling the dice and adding up their round score, but must beware of rolling doubles! If they roll two of any number, their round score is set to zero, and play passes to Zoomer. The trick is to get a high enough round score, and then pass to Zoomer, before rolling doubles. Play continues back and forth between you and Zoomer until one of you reaches 100.

Brief instructions are available in Zoomer’s console on the upper right-hand part of the screen. This will help your child while learning how to play the game, and will help their reading skills!

Children practice their arithmetic skills when adding their round and total scores. After your child's round turn is completed, Zoomer takes a turn. Play continues back and forth between your child and Zoomer until one of you reaches 100. The player with the highest score wins.

Double Trouble emphasizes the following life skills: subtraction, estimation and probability, place value and mental arithmetic, strategic thinking, problem solving and last, but not least, reading.
