Zoomer's Math Games: Spin to 100

Zoomer's Math Games image

The goal of "Spin to 100" is to score the closest to 100 without going over. Your child will spin the Sparky spinner a total of six times. Each time, they will select which column (1's or 10's) to place that number. When a number is placed in the 10's column, a zero is automatically placed in the 1's column. After six spins, your child will practice arithmetic by adding their total score. Spinning turns alternate between your child and Zoomer.

Brief instructions are available in Zoomer’s console on the upper right-hand part of the screen. This will help your child while learning how to play the game, and will help their reading skills!

Your child will keep in mind that they want their total to be as close to 100 without going over 100. After playing the game a number of times, they begin to have a much better understanding of place value concepts, as they try to figure out where to place their digit.

Spin To 100 emphasizes the following life skills: addition, estimation and probability, place value and mental arithmetic, strategic thinking, problem solving and last, but not least, reading.
